The Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

The FMLA is a federal law that provides eligible employees with the right to take unpaid, job-protected leave for qualifying events without interference or restraint from their employers. Job protection under the FMLA means that employees who use this leave have the right to return to the same job or an equivalent job with the same pay, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment, with limited exceptions.
