Your employee and dependent Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance can be cancelled by emailing the cancellation request to NEBAadmin@gisbenefits.net

*Please be aware, when Basic Term Life is cancelled all remaining MetLife insurance coverage will be cancelled. If enrolled in GVUL without Basic Term Life, your GVUL policy will be automatically moved to direct bill

When your employment ends with NEBA, MetLife will be notified and a letter with conversion options will be mailed to you. If you have questions on conversion after your retirement, you can call 1-866-574-2861 prompt 3 and then prompt 1 will bring you to the MetLife Transition Solutions center where you'll speak with a financial advisor. If you call before you have retired, the advisor will not have any information in terms of what coverage type and coverage dollar amount you have, when benefits will end, and in addition to whether or not those coverages are portable. No action can be taken in terms of converting your policy until you’ve reached retirement.
