What is Paid Family & Medical Leave?

Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), Paid Family Leave (PFL), and temporary Disability Insurance (DI) programs are state-mandated offerings which enable you to request a wage replacement benefit and/or leave if you cannot work because you are sick or hurt or due to a family matter such as bonding with a new child, caring for a family member who has a serious health condition or to address a qualifying military exigency. The applicable qualifying reasons for leave and/or benefits depend on your work state. Not all states offer PFML, PFL, or DI programs.
