MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) today announced that Maggie Gage has joined the company as vice president of U.S. Government Relations. Gage will be based in Washington and report to Susan Greenwell, senior vice president and head of Global Government Relations.
“Maggie has spent many years developing and implementing legislative and regulatory strategies across a wide-range of issues,” said Greenwell. “Her deep experience across Washington will benefit MetLife’s advocacy priorities greatly.”
Gage joins MetLife from Credit Suisse, where she most recently served as the company’s head of Public Policy for the Americas and led the planning, coordination and execution of all legislative and regulatory policies.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2009, Gage was director of Federal Relations with The Normandy Group, LLC, where she was responsible for advising Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized businesses, and nonprofits on federal and regulatory issues. From 2003 to 2007, she served in roles with the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, where she worked for the Chairman.
Gage holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of Vermont.
