How does MetLife Investment Management, LLC protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. In addition, to the extent we outsource support services to unaffiliated third parties, we require these third parties to protect personal information. How does MetLife Investment Management, LLC collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you purchase a limited partnership interest in a private investment fund managed by us and/or sign a subscription agreement. Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account, I hold jointly with someone else? If you hold an account jointly with someone else, we will accept instructions from either of you, and apply them to the entire account.

  • Subsidiaries of MetLife, Inc., including MIM I, LLC (“MIM I”), MetLife Investment Management Limited (“MIML”), MetLife Asset Management Corp (Japan) (“MAM”), MetLife Investments Asia Limited (“MIAL”) and MetLife Investment Management Europe Limited (MIM Europe).
  Nonaffiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • MetLife Investment Management, LLC does not share with nonaffiliates so that they can market to you.
  Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • MetLife Investment Management, LLC does not jointly market.
